Local Judge - Kirsten Sivyer
Kirsten Sivyer (BA Visual Arts - Painting) is an award winning visual artist based in Albany, WA. Sivyer specializes in figurative oil painting and uses traditional multi-layered glazing techniques. Her painterly subjects reflect her passion for lighting, allegory and mood.
Recent artistic achievements include winning the 2017 Bluethumb Art Prize, 2015 City of Stirling Print Award, the 2013 Albany Art Prize People's Choice Award, and placing as a national finalist in 2018 Collie Art Prize, 2013 Black Swan Prize for Heritage and the 2012 Black Swan Prize for Portraiture. Sivyer's artwork is represented in various private and public collections.
Local Judge - Kate Campbell-Pope
Kate Campbell-Pope is a visual artist with a practice encompassing community arts, public art, teaching, curating and mentoring. She has exhibited in many exhibitions locally, nationally and internationally in Chile and Japan.
Kate's work is represented in a number of public collections such as AGWA, King Edward Memorial Hospital and City of Tamworth, in addition to various private collections.
Kate lives and works in Albany, and is a member of MIX Artists locally.
Perth Judge - Lance Hyde
Lance Hyde has worked for most of his professional life in Western Australian art collections and educational institutions. He has participated in various art events and exhibitions in the 1980's and 1990's and currently holds the position of Art Curator at Royal Perth Hospital. Lance has also judged many regional and local exhibitions in Perth, Kalgoorlie and Geraldton.
